Clean Install (recommended) - Follow the backup instructions to create a current archive of your messages and address book files. Use Add/Remove Programs to uninstall the old version of PMMail. Reboot the computer and install the version you want using the installation file. Follow the restoration steps in the backup article including a Re-Index of all messages.

Install over current installation - In most cases, you can simply install to the same directory as your current installation using the installation file. After you have installed the first action should be to Re-Index all accounts! Many changes in PMMail rely on the indexing system to be propogated and if you do not re-index messages you WILL have problems.
